As a gothic artist & writer I love to draw gothic art.  It all started with a dream about a vampire called Skaler, I have written a novel about his life (which is in the 2nd draft) & I drew illustrations.  It has taken on a life of its own, expanding into gothic fairies, angels & dragons.  The work is now available for sale in new age stores up and down the UK, and is available as Prints, Greeting Cards, Postcards, Fridge Magnets and Keyrings.

I hope you enjoy the work & please feel free to let me know what you think?

I will be continually adding more drawings, so watch this space!

My name is Glenn James and I am an English Gothic Artist & Writer.  I haven’t been on any of the Gothic Forums before, but I really had something I wanted to share with the members.

A drawing of mine, which is my interpretation of Count Dracula, not long ago went on sale at the Whitby Dracula Experience, In Yorkshire, England, and we announced its official launch on Saturday for World Goth Day. (A copy of the drawing is attached).

I wanted to draw the Count as looking somewhere between Bram Stoker’s original description and Vlad the Impaler as he might have looked as an old man.  It has come out as quite haunting, and he has the devils own grin!  Please check it out in the Legendary Ghouls Gallery on my web site, at www.gjamesgothicworks.com.  It has been a drawing I have built up to across my career, and I’d love to know what other Goths think of it.  Please pass it on to friends as I’m kinda proud of this one!

Also, if any of you are in Worcester area, I have an exhibition of my Skaler Gothic artwork in the revolutionary new venue ‘AiR’ near Worcester Bridge.  AiR stands for Artists in Residence, and  if any of you are familiar with my Skaler vampire mythology it contains many of my images of Skaler and Mariah, The Green Man, and of course ancient Prince Germane, the DreamWalker: older than the Christian Church and Walking in darkness since the days of the .   DreamWalker is attached.

Some of the prints are 103 x 103 cm, and this is the first time my work has been displayed at such a scale.   It looks awesome, as they have really done my work credit, and if anyone is in the area please check it out and let me know what you think!

For those that don’t live in the Worcester area, my work is now available in a growing number of stockists in the UK, two in Edinburgh & we are currently in talks with a store in Australia.  We sell Prints, Greeting Cards, Postcards, Fridge Magnets & Keyrings.  We also have an online PayPal shop.

Also please feel free to check out my other work; any feedback would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

The Descent 2 is supposed to be even better than the original.  My fiance reviewed it a few weeks ago and said she liked what she saw.

Hey everyone,

Glastonbury Horror Fest, in the heart of the Isle of Avalon, is taking place Friday & Saturday (21st/22nd May 2010).

Tickets are a fiver each and all money raised is going to one of the Carnival Clubs in the town.

This is an opportunity to see some great films, including 'Thicker Than Water: The Vampire Diaries Part 1', the story of a goth coming to terms with her cheerleader/vegetarian sister becoming a vampire.  It is NOTHING to do with the TV series   Roll Eyes

Get more info (and see a trailer of the vampire diaries) at http://glastonbury.tk

Hi everyone,

My name is Joe Jenkins, and I'm the writer/producer/director of a new web series that will soon be coming to a computer screen near you.  We are working with Inkubus Sukkubus/Vampire Division for the music, so you know it will sound great.

I am here to ask your advice.  One of the main characters is Goth, but I don't want to create the usual rubbishy goth character you usually see in films and TV, I want her to be real and true to the culture.

Please tell me what you feel I should include with the character.  Of course, I can't include everything people say, but I can make her real.

Would you be interested in playing a major part in the series?   We have two main locations for the series which are Glastonbury (Somerset) & Fareham/Portsmouth/Southampton (Hampshire).

Hi everyone,

Just introducing myself here before writing a post about my reason for being here.

I'm sometimes called Joe, other times called 'The Mystic Mongoose', am probably way too old to be on here, but think the look is great and the music is too.

I'm a film maker/writer, making films that are more like the traditional ghost story.

Ello,
I hope to meet a lot of people out there who share some of my interests(if not, well, it doesn't really make a difference). I like to read and write, and love watching horror movies(with a lot of blood too!) especially in a movie theatre where I'm practically the only one laughing, and when someone screams, I throw  at them for being dumb.
A few of my favorite bands are Nox Arcana, Evanescence, Dark Moor, etc. You all know how it goes.

My favourite form is montage...You can go further in the emotional range without the limitations of a single context....
